DLG, a major Dutch food transportation provider, has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Transportation Management (OTM) and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to support the company’s growth and its mission to provide leading sustainable multimodal transportation services in Europe.

Formed from the merger of three Dutch family-owned companies – Dailyfresh Logistics, Visbeen, and Post-Kogeko – DLG provides multimodal transportation services for fresh, chilled, and frozen food products in the Netherlands and continental Europe. The company has expanded significantly in recent years and faced increasing competition and rapidly changing market requirements, so it needed to rethink how it manages its logistics and business operations to scale its services and operate more efficiently.

Oracle Transportation Management, part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM), enables DLG to automate business processes across its logistics network and optimize operations across multiple supply chain flows and operational markets. This allows the company to improve its customer experience and reduce freight and operational costs. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provides the company with a single integrated data platform to unify and rationalize business planning and reporting.

“With Oracle Transportation Management and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, we expect to increase efficiency and ease of use in our logistics and operational processes,” said Harald Lourens, Chief Financial Officer at DLG.
“We also expect to gain better real-time insights into our business through a single, consistent source of high-quality data, enabling us to improve customer service and act immediately when needed.”
