The role

As a PMO Support Officer, you will provide essential administrative and operational support within the Project Management Office. You will ensure that project activities are well coordinated, documented and aligned with organisational standards and objectives. This role combines structure, diligence and communication skills with a strong commitment to supporting successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the PMO and project teams.
  • Ensure that PMO processes, such as regular project reporting, are completed within the required timeframes.
  • Maintain project documentation, registers and status reports.
  • Support and oversee standard PMO governance processes.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Support the creation and formatting of project materials, presentations and reports.
  • Track and update project timelines, deliverables and risks in PMO tools and systems.
  • Help manage project communication channels, including email, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Monitor outstanding actions and follow up with project stakeholders.
  • Help new project team members get familiar with standard project processes.

What you bring

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to create structure and maintain organisation in a fast-moving environment, even when information is incomplete.
  • An energetic, proactive approach and a can-do attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiarity with SharePoint or similar tools is an advantage.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn about project management and IT environments.
  • No formal project management experience is required. Training and support will be provided.
  • Previous administrative or office experience in a fast-paced project environment is an advantage, but not essential.
  • A keen interest in IT, digital transformation or project work.
